Colin Reid

Colin Reid is the owner and president of Reid Financial Strategies Inc., located in Ancaster, Ontario. He has been licensed as a Portfolio Manager with the IIROC dealer Aligned Capital Partners Inc. since April 2014, and as an Investment Advisor since September 2012. For four years prior, he was licensed with the MFDA dealer FundEX Investments Inc.
Life licensed since September 2010, Colin has leveraged this alongside his expertise in tax planning and preparation to offer clients a genuinely holistic approach to their finances — one where investments, tax, retirement, estate, and insurance decisions all inform one another.
Colin earned his PhD (with a focus in mathematics) from McMaster University in 2010, and his Master of Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in 2006. He earned the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2014 and has been a Certified Financial Planner since February 2013. He has completed numerous additional industry and income tax courses throughout his career.

Deeply Rooted in Dundas
Colin is an active volunteer in his community. A member of the Dundas Lions Club since 2009, he served as former First Vice-Chair and board member of Dundas Community Services (DCS) from 2011 to 2014, where he also co-chaired the Dundas Community Food Drive. He was previously Treasurer and board member of the Dundas Youth Soccer Club from 2009 to 2014.
